Employment — suspension of local authority employee — only senior official can suspend if it is desirable that the employee should not carry on working.
Summary dismissal — the Council can dismiss an employee summarily on any ground which in law justifies dismissal without notice — Council still enjoined to hold an inquiry before effecting summary dismissal.
